KHLIEHRIAT:
The Jaiñtia National Council (JNC) Khliehriat Circle, under the leadership of its President Shanborlang Bamon and Secretary Symboh Sumer, has submitted a request to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of East Jaiñtia Hills District to screen the live show of renowned artist Steve Jyrwa on the DIPR large screen.
In the letter, the JNC expressed pride in witnessing the success of Steve Jyrwa, a talented artist from the Khasi-Jaiñtia community, in the popular TV show “India Best Dancer Season 4.” The JNC requested the district administration to screen the live show every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm at Khliehriat, the district headquarters, to support the artist and promote cultural awareness and entertainment.
President Shanborlang Bamon stated that the event aims to showcase Steve Jyrwa’s talent, promote cultural appreciation, provide entertainment, and foster unity and social cohesion. He also encouraged fellow Meghalayans to support Steve by voting for him on the Sony Live app during the live shows.
The ADC, Kharpuri, expressed her support for the initiative, stating that it would be a good idea to support talented youths. She assured the JNC that she would take up the matter immediately and do the needful. The JNC appreciated the ADC’s kindness and support for the betterment of the community.
