In a significant initiative to strengthen healthcare delivery, the District Medical and Health Officer of West Jaintia Hills distributed Android tablets to ASHA workers from Thadlaskein C&RD Block and Laskein C&RD Block today.
The programme, held at the District Library Auditorium in Mynthong, was attended by Wailadmiki Shylla, Local MLA and Chairman of MUDA (Chief Guest) B.S. Sohliya, Deputy Commissioner, Health officials, including Dr. K Dhar, Dr. P. Shylla, Dr. M. Syngkon, Rapki Shullai, and Dr. H Niang
Wailadmiki Shylla praised the dedication and hard work of ASHA workers, emphasizing their critical role in improving healthcare at the grassroots level. He acknowledged their efforts in conducting health surveys, monitoring maternal and child health care, and raising awareness about government health schemes.
“The introduction of Android tablets will enable ASHA workers to perform their duties more efficiently and deliver services with greater ease and accuracy”, Shylla said
