KHLIEHRIAT :
Bridges at Tongseng village, Sunapyrdi village, Pyrtakuna village, Umkiang village and Rattacherra Village are in dilapidated and can pose an eminent danger to the general public.
In order to safeguard. Commuters, Vehicles and General Public commuting along the National Highway NH 06 from any “Untoward Incident”, the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills directed the Project Director, National Highway Authority of India (NHA), Meghalaya, Shillong to take immediate Restorative Measures in light of the critical importance of these Bridges.
The District Administration has also issued Advisory Notice and urged the general public and drivers to take necessary precautions and to obey the Traffic Regulations while crossing through these Bridges in order to avoid any untoward incident till completion of works by the concerned Department of NH-6.
