SHILLONG: The Governor of Meghalaya had vide Notification No.DCA.65/
2024/10, dated 19 December, 2024, under Rule 129 of the Assam and Meghalaya Autonomous
Districts (Constitution of District Councils) Rules, 1951, as amended, published in the Official
Gazette of Meghalaya Extraordinary dated 19th December, 2024, appointed the schedule of dates for publication of Draft Electoral Roll, Fillings, Claims and Objections, Disposal of Claims and
Objections and Publication of Final Electoral Rolls for every constituency of the Khasi Hils
Autonomous District Council and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council on 27 January, 2025;

Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of Rule 124 of the afore-
mentioned Rules of 1951 the Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to call upon all the constituencies
of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council to elect
persons to fill the vacancies and appoints with respect to the General Elections, 2025 of the said
Councils-

4D0 the 3rd February, 2025 (Monday) before 3:00 P.M. as the last date for filing of nomination (Rules 133(2) (a) & 133 (3)): the 3rd February, 2025 (Monday) after 3:00 P.M, as the date of scrutiny of nomination
papers (Rules 133(2) (a) & 135 (1)):
(Hi) the 4th February, 2025 (Tuesday) as the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers
(Rules 133(9)}:
(lv) the 6 February, 2026 (Thursday) as the date of finalization and publication of valid
nomination and allocation of symbol (Rules 135(4):
() the 21 February, 2025 (Friday) as the date on which a pol shal, f necessary, be taken
(Rule 133(2) (b)): and foxes 7:00 AM. as the hour at which the poll shall commence and
4:00 P.M. as the hour at which it shall close on the date for the poll specified above (Rules
140(1):
() the 24 February, 2025 (Monday) as the date of counting.
